Review of The Edukators (2004) by Rob C — 10 Jun 2007
This film was pretty affecting when I first watched it, not least because it's like a manifesto rather than a work of art. It's a novel concept anyway (since true Socialist activity seems to have died out 20 years ago, or at least hasn't been given media attention to the same extent).
It does go down hill a lot in the second half though, I mean things happen that don't involve anti-capitalist agendas and that's just not cool. Also I don't like Jeff Buckley (mainly because he stirs up redundant emotions and he's on the O.
C. all the fucking time). Also that phone things pretty retarded, regardless of its role as a narrative device. Also, apparently there must have been a moral point that I totally missed out on. Anyway, if it was just people breaking into homes and rearranging furniture, I'd probably give it a 5 star rating.
Also the girl in this is in Downfall for about 30 seconds, but apparently a major star in this, I don't get it... I JUST DON'T FUCKING GET IT.
