Wow, where did this little indie flick come from? A very compelling and absorbing drama about a college boy's moral coming of age. Jesse Eisenberg is one of the those rare actors that seems to just completely dissolve into the character effortlessly.
.. if his career when he's older doesn't get him awards, I'll be shocked. Jesse carries the movie quite well on his shoulders with a kinda' hit-or-miss supporting cast. Jason Ritter plays the bad-boy-or-is-he with sincerity and charm, but unfortunately doesn't hold the same weight as Eisenberg.
The story is compelling enough and the script is solid enough that you'll find yourself unable to move away from the screen. A very surprising find in your rental places, Charlie Banks is worth it.
