Review of The Edge of Love (2008) by Ksenia S — 12 May 2009
This movie is about people who desperately need to be loved. Where there is love is suffering and complicated relationships so get ready for a triangle or even a square. The first apex of the square is Dylan Thomas a poet from Wales. He writes rhymes and poems and shoots films about war, but this doesn`t bring him much money. He has a wife and a son but this quiet family love isn`t enough for him, he is a free soul, he need all the love and appreciation he can get. Besides he can`t forget his childhood sweetheart Vera whom he meets in military London. Dylan, his wife Caitlin( the 2d apex) and Vera(3d) start to live together. Caitlin loves only Dylan but he doesn`t give her enough attention so she finds "love" where ever she can and hates herself after being with another man. At first you could feel the tension between girls because Caitlin understands that there is a connection between Dylan and Vera that can`t be broken that makes her envy. But then they become great friends, they support and love each other. Vera is in love with Dylan but she doesn`t want to break his family. Soon Vera meets a soldier, William, who tries to win her heart and finally does it but he`s also aware of the connection between Dylan and his wife which drives him crazy.
I`m not a big fan of Keira but she did a great job here, it`s probably the first movie that I liked her in.
