Review of The Edge (1997) by Stephenie M — 02 Jun 2008
I wanted a film that was more one-on-one and psychologically in-depth. I expected it to be different, but that's the problem with going into a movie with preconceived notions...so don't do it! Make sure you know as little about the film as possible! Anyway, it wasn't bad, at least I know how to live in the wilderness (thanks Anthony).
Kudos to Bart the Bear. An excellent drinking game could be played to every time Alec says "Charles" -- you'd get wasted. Really, the number of times he said it was just ridiculous. Saying someones name that much to address them when YOU'RE THE ONLY OTHER PERSON WITH THEM is just unnecessary.
But I guess he said it constantly because his character...degraded people, and addressing someone that much would make them feel subordinate, I think. Anyway...meh.
