Review of The Edge (1997) by Diane C — 23 May 2013
When people compared The Grey to this I had to see it. This movie doesn't come close to that film. There may be no rules to writing but make sure the story you want to tell is good and the characters are at least entertaining.
Anthony Hopkins? An Oscar winner? His acting is mediocre at best, that or his character Charles is just really boring. The survival aspect just didn't feel like survival. Days past without much for starving and weakness. The Bear conflict however was tense and fantastic. But not unfortunately as great as the horrors of The Grey.
