Review of The Edge (1997) by Bryan W — 10 Apr 2009
It doesn't aspire to high art; this is clear and necessary from the first scene, easily setting the film up in the action-survival genre. The acting is reasonable, but most importantly, you can actually learn something about surviving in the wilderness from paying attention to this movie.
Throw in perhaps one of the most terrifyingly realistic acting jobs by any animal in film history, and you're bound to be glued to the edge of your seat.
