Review of The East (2013) by Lara D — 18 Dec 2013
Unlikeable and forgettable characters doing unlikeable things. The director attempts to make up for the lack of natural chemistry between members of the East by subjecting the viewer to corny bonding rituals that end up looking contrived.
The movie tries to stay morally neutral but veers hard left by characterizing the heads of the corporations as money hungry ,corrupt and overall loathe some people. This movie is cliche, preachy and at times, cringe worthy.
