Review of The Eagle and the Hawk (1933) by Melissa M — 22 Oct 2008
Wow what a great film. I've never heard of this film and they premired it on TCM the other day and what a treat. The acting is great all around(Oakie,Lombard, and one of Grant's first films) with Fredric March as a standout.
The look of the film is great and they mix WW1 documentery footage that works really well. Great story and dialogue with a fantastic ending. One of the best war films of it's time, it's real hidden Gem.
