Review: The Dukes of Hazzard.

This movie is based on a TV-series from the 70's and 80's. Now I haven't seen any episodes of that show, but I have heard it was very popular back in the days. It was nominated to five awards and it won two of them. In 2004 it was nominated to two TV Land Awards and it won one of them. The next year, it won one more. Who was the stars of that show you ask. Denver Pyle as Uncle Jesse, Sorrell Booke as Boss Hogg, Catherine Bach as Daisy Duke, Tom Wopat as Luke Duke and John Schneider as Bo Duke. None of which starred in the movie.

The acting in this movie was so superb they almost knocked me out of the coach, and I'm laying down! And the brilliant lines and expressions, just hilarious! I laughed so hard I almost peed a little! They really outdid themselves this time, this is one of the best movies in history, if you ask me.

"You know why divorces are so expensive?".

"No".

"Because they're worth it".

You take you're regular awesome movie, add a little brilliancy, a little Willie Nelson, smoking apples, explosions around every corner, creativity at its peak, flaming bottles of alcohol flying through the air, car chases, bar fights, great music, hot babes you don't want to mess with, a fatso with a armadillohelmet/soupbowl on his head, the rest of the dukes, one flying car with a hemi-engine out of this world, a bunch of pigs and a loooot of moonshine and this is what you get! Yeee-haaaw!

The plot of this movie is pretty damn good too. It's not just all the previously mentioned things. This is one movie that will make you laugh and cry and jump up and dance and have a ho-down. This movie is simply great, brilliant and, I would say it is on my list of must-sees.

Mixing up Sean Williams Scott, Johnny Knoxville, Jessica Simpson, Willie Nelson and Burt Reynolds might be the smartest thing Mr. Jay Chandrasekhar has ever done, and he has done a lot of smart things in the movie- and television business. He is a genius AND a great actor. This turned out to be one hell of a movie. It gets 10 out of 10 possible stars from me. That's right, a perfect 10. See you later and enjoy the brilliancy and genius of Jay's masterpiece: "the Dukes of Hazzard".
