Just like a lot of classic crime dramas such as Scarface, Goodfellas, and Casino, it's not the violence that makes this movie memorable. It's the characters and how they deal with conflict. The Drop is a solid crime thriller.
It's good-looking, well-directed, and the performances are superb.
