Review of The Drop (2014) by Rob V — 28 Aug 2015
Eh, you've basically seen this one 100 times. Some type of mafia is involved, a business owner, and an inside job. The difference may be that Gandolfini plays the role quite well. Hardy has been spectacular in a few roles, but he's also been laughable in some roles.
I can't tell which he is in this. Likable, for sure. I like the sub-plot with the girl and the dog but, all in all, it's a movie that lacks originality.
