Review of The Driver (1978) by Vincent O — 03 Jan 2008
One of my all time favourite films and for a good reason (one of my first AA's). both actors are sublime, Ryan O'Neal (as the getaway driver) and Bruce Dern (as the commited cop in pursuit). I loved the Mimi list dialog (with some sentences composing of only two words ("Go home"), the atmospheric streets, the blistering car chases and the endless schreeching of burning tires.
Influenced one of the most famous video games.
