Review of The Driver (1978) by Roland J — 15 Jul 2009
Stylish and enjoyable thriller with Ryan O'Neal oozing cool as the getaway driver for hire and Bruce Dern menacing as the obsessive over the top cop willing to get his man at all costs. Made back in the day when stunts were done for real and not enhanced by a computer the car chases and stunts bring the film to life and keep the film moving at a reasonable pace.
Not a classic IMO but not bad either.
