Review of The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie! (2010) by Jason C — 06 Jun 2010

Raunchy and fairly amusing animated 'reality' show Drawn Together makes the transition to direct to dvd movie. The result is one of worst things i've ever experienced. It is a tacky and relentlessly unfunny 90 minutes of utter shit.

The animation is sub-par, surprising considering the relatively high standard of the original show. The film tries so hard to make you cringe at its unashamed depictions of cartoon sex, violence racism etc.

Instead I was cringing at just how bad it failed at being funny. A recurring joke about Israel feels utterly irrelevant in the worst possible way. A good 20 mins of the movie is based around taking pot shots at south park, a vastly superior show.

Bad move, this only serves to make the the whole film feel even more pathetic than it already is. An utter waste of time.
