Review of The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie! (2010) by Michael S — 13 Jun 2010

All the stops are pulled out in Drawn Together's 1 hour and 10 minute grand finale. Director Greg Franklin does a great job in giving the movie a "point", acting as a very ironic fact when considered in context with the movie's strange intertextual plot.

All the characters deliver star performances as always, with Foxxy once again taking centre stage as the character that drives the plot to its hilarious end. Interesting supporting additions (which include a female robot named ISRAEL) to the movie gives the film a sense of grandeur that sets it apart from the usual episodes.

The movie does however still manage to capture the essence of Drawn Together: An unforgiving, racist and controversial look at life that doesn't fuck around (expect in one very disturbing threesome scene).

As with all Drawn Together installments, the movie benefits from repeated viewings with open-minded friends as the movie steadily reveals all its condensed gems of relentless comedy genius. A fitting end to the funniest show ever made.
