Review of The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie! (2010) by Kaliyana G — 01 Oct 2010

I started watching Drawn Together because Netflix tends to know my taste well. I?ve trusted it before on several occasions and ended up happy. I remember a while ago, it recommended I watch Drawn Together because I enjoyed South Park or Futurama or something of the like. Now get this straight, Drawn Together definitely is not my kind of comedy. I enjoy my adult cartoons just as much as other people my age? damn, Drawn Together is messed up and racist! But of course, I knew what I was getting myself into. I don?t know how but I watched all 3 seasons of the show, but it happened. I can?t say it?s something I am proud of but it happened? I think that at the time, I enjoyed watching it? but now that I look back on it? I can?t really find anything I liked about the show.

The movie? while it did have its interesting parts? felt like it was just the creators taking advantage of the freedoms movies had over what television shows are able to show. Suddenly, everything that was censored before was shown and unnecessary sex orgies were taking place left and right. I felt like more things made me want to vomit than laugh. And it wasn?t that I didn?t understand the jokes? they just weren?t enjoyable. While Family Guy and Futurama left and returned, I definitely do not see the return of Drawn Together any time soon.
