Absolutely superb fim, one of my most favourite movies ever! The costumes, the settings, the landscape are done by someone trained to be a painter and it's absolutely delightful. The dialogue is sharp and witty and takes several viewings to understand.
Michael Nyman's music is modelled on Purcel and is an absolute delight. Looking forward to Greenaway's new film "Nightwatching".
