Review of The Double Life of Véronique (1991) by Kush D — 07 Apr 2008

My favourite film by Kieslowski. This film truly transcends time; it doesn't feel out-dated even when seen 16 years after it was made. The idea of there existing someone identical to you who feel the same emotions simultaneously as you do is both brilliant and romantic.

The yellow filter gives the film a soft and almost pastel touch which adds to the mystery of the film. Irene Jacob was just amazing. I canâ??t think of a better actress to play the role.
