Review of The Double (2014) by Jen Q — 23 May 2014
It's a deep and dark humor movie and makes me thinking after watching it. I feel like Simon created James, when he talked to James he said he's not capable but he's trying to be the man he wants to be verse who he really is and so he created the man he wants to be which is the opposite of who he actually is with the same physical appearance.
Maybe same with our life, to survive in the society we are forced to be someone else but forget to keep being who we really are. Losing the persons we really are will eventually kill ourselves from the inside just like Simon's decision at the end.
