Review of The Double (2014) by Paul K — 31 Oct 2015
I don't think I'm cut out for Dostoevsky. The narrative was very obtuse and hard to follow, and the purpose of it all quite hard to spot. The meaning I did manage to dredge out of it only fed into my insecurities.
There were a few comic glints but mainly this was a dystopia. Very clever but ultimately depressing.
