I like films that dare to defy conventions. However, this most recent attempt from director Richard Ayoade didn't do it for me. It has an occasionally good performance from Jesse Eisenberg, and a few good scenes, however, I don't think Ayoade has managed to work out how to make a film that is interesting to a number of people, instead of just himself.
