Review of The Doors (1991) by Darrell H — 25 Nov 2008
Awesome performance by Kilmer, totally convincing. Unfortunately, the film didn't adequately explore the emotional issues that caused Jim's behavior, outbursts, and drinking/drugging. Plus the entire middle section was boring and drawn-out.
Read Davis' "JM: Life, Death, Legend" if you're interested in Jim's life, and watch this for the entertainment value of Kilmer reenacting it.
