Review of The Doors (1991) by J Brigham H — 20 Jul 2012
THE DOORS is way too long as its minimal storyline meanders through the drug-addled lives of its subjects in a seemingly drug-addled style. Kilmer's performance is exuberant, but his character is too unsavory.
I must admit, that as far as I gather, I think it's getting the feel of the time and place right (although I'm too young to know in actuality), but in our day and time, such an immersion in that feel seems misguided.
