Review of The Door in the Floor (2004) by John C — 15 Jan 2005
The Door in the Floor is an interesting, well acted film about a couple torn apart by tragedy and now are coming to grips with what has become of their marriage. The film is similar to Ordinary People, in that the death of children force the parents to come to grips with the underlining problems in their own lives.
Jeff Bridges is great as the bizzare childrens writter and Kim Bassinger is solid as well. The film is well made and the plot is interesting. The only problem I had is the ending... I have no idea what was going on there.
