Review of The Door in the Floor (2004) by Izz C — 18 Jan 2010
The Door in the Floor is a disturbing movie, but one of my favofites. Jeff Bridges is perfect as the eccentric, damaged children's book author and father. All of the other main cast are also outstanding.
There is a lot of subtle symbolism in the film so it works on multiple levels. I found the characters believable and likeable, and the trauma of their lives engrossing. Little Elle Fanning is incredible in a difficult role.
