Review of The Divorcee (1930) by Jeff B — 19 Jan 2008
Okay film starring Norma Shearer in her Oscar winning role. She did a pretty good job, considering it's 1930. The story is simple and predictable. It's got a pretty laughable drunk driving scene at the beginning (funny because of the 30s action scene) and the aftermath of it is pretty over the top acting.
There was actually a pretty funny bit at the beginning that I found amusing. Anyway, it's an okay movie, typical romance from the early days, but nothing terribly special.
