Review of The Divorcee (1930) by Michael T — 13 Dec 2012
Pre-code melodramatic tale of sexual equality (and infidelity) and its domino affect on the relationships that surround it - The Divorcee explores subject matter soon banned in Hollywood for more than 30 years.
Part of the "Forbidden Hollywood" collection from Turner Classic Movies, The Divorcee and similar fare are a true treat for any film buff (especially for those used to 'classic' movies all being post-code).
Oh, what might have been if not for the moral police. Stagey but enjoyable MGM offering.
