Review of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007) by Linda A — 06 May 2009
A heartbreaking, yet inspiring true story about Jean-Dominique Bauby, the french chief-editor of Elle magazine, living his life to the fullest when he suddenly has a stroke that leaves him completely paralyzed and mute.
Even the thought of this frustrates and demotivates me and yet he manages to turn his misery around and write a book by simply using his eyes and a very very patient assistant. It is a slow movie, but it's a beautiful one.
..absolutely beautiful!
