Review of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007) by Megan G — 10 May 2010
Brilliant film. Incredibly sad, but really well done. The beginning is done from his point of view (he's had a stroke and is paralyzed except for one eye which can blink) and it's almost claustrophobic.
I didn't know if I could watch it at first, but then it expands out and we see everything going on around him. Really well done, really interesting, funny, sad, and possibly one of the best foreign films I've seen in a long time.
I highly recommend this movie.
