Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by Jluis_001 — 31 Dec 2017
One of those stories where reality surpasses fiction and reality is undoubtedly more striking and entertaining.
James Franco delivers his most solid effort as a filmmaker and one of his best works as an actor, it's true that is inevitable to laugh at the irony of this considering the film that provoked this story.
The Disaster Artist is a really good movie, I'm surprised that Franco managed to keep a solid narrative about a story like the creation of one of the worst movies in history, but like I said, the story was too good and the opportunity to adapt it wasn't rea dream but it's the dream of Hollywood success and those stories tend to be too attractive.
Both James and Dave achieve a great chemistry on the screen, they're brothers so that certainly has a lot to do with it. They conduct the whole film and they do it in a good way until the ending. Their interactions are the true strength of the film in general.
Do you have to watch The Room to enjoy this movie? No, not really and I would recommend no to, but everyone is free to do it, in one way or another that movie is still crap, no matter that they mention over and over again that people keep talking about it and how special screenings of it still continue, The Room is a colossal failure, but something good came out of that experience and is this movie.
