Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by David L — 02 Mar 2018
The Disaster Artist is not as deep or as thematically rich as it should have been plus it has very limited appeal as it requires homework on the viewers' part, but for those who had previously seen 'The Room', it proves to be one very entertaining experience.
The film is very funny in its look at the filmmaking scenes with those scenes being flawlessly recreated owing to an immaculate attention to detail, but it is also a moving, very interesting look into Tommy Wiseau's life, the mysteries surrounding him and his great friendship with Greg Sestero.
James Franco excelled here in both directing and acting roles.
