Review of The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them (2014) by Lael Y — 25 Mar 2015
Somewhere in this film -- and the two different perspective cuts that have been released VOD -- there must be a good film. However, despite some great ingredients, it never really forms into anything I could care much about.
It is interesting that I can pinpoint what fails to work. Perhaps it is the fact that both characters are so very privileged / entitled that something about both of them seemed "hallow" and I doubt that was the intention.
Explorations of grief have been done far better with far less.
