Review of The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them (2014) by Alex W — 24 Dec 2015
I watched each separately, because I believe that's how the director wanted this to be seen. As a film fan its an intriguing experiment. It already gets bonus points for originality. While multiple perspectives on the same event has been done before (rashomon) its usually contained in the same movie.
Watching the perspectives separate make me feel like I was watching the perspective of to separate people and not seeing it all from the perspective of the audience. Aside from that everything is great, acting and story and some great scenes.
Chastain and McAvoy are always great and Bill Hader deserves a shout out.
