Review of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009) by Gary N — 09 Nov 2010
A lean, smart English thriller played out with only three characters. Arterton shines as the kidnap victim of two criminals with the perfect plan to ransom her for £2 million pounds. There are some decent twists and turns along the way, the first of which is slightly less believable- but that is harsh criticism given the high standard of the rest of the film.
A low budget gem- it deserves a watch.
