Review of The Dirty Dozen (1967) by Jeremy W — 21 May 2009
Fun to watch many times on TV over and over again. As long as it was violent for a 60's military piece, it is a hell of a brilliant action flick. Lee Marvin is truly the ultimate hard-ass in any flick he comes out in.
You may see sick deterrent violence, but yet I saw the worst of the worst dishing it out to become the best of the best no matter how they may achieve. A stellar piece of dynamite editing, stunt work, no to mention a sporadic bunch of characters serving their country in the most pugilistic way.
This is an adventure movie for the explosive nihilistic hardcore guys in everyone.
