Review of The Dilemma (1919) by Sam J — 08 Nov 2017
I like Vince Vaughn in most things, even when he leads a bad film like he does here. The Dilemma could have made for a fun short film, but it takes what is a complicated but easily solved situation and drags the proceedings out to almost 2 hours.
The only fully likable person here is Jennifer Connelly, who gets little screen time but has surprisingly good chemistry with Vaughn. The humor seldom works, and is more so painful and awkward than funny.
Just stay away.
