Review of The Dilemma (1919) by Danny M — 01 Nov 2015
Not as dire as I was expecting, but it does have a lot of problems. I liked Vaughan actually working through the dilemma itself, and figuring out what he should do, though Howard doesn't do much with it cinematically.
I actually thought that he'd started being affected psychologically by the poisonous plants he fell into, and was disappointed that that never paid off. I think the movie works better if you assume that's what's causing him to act crazy.
