Review of The Dilemma (1919) by Dan R — 11 Jun 2011
It's a unique recipe that would take so many great ingredients and make such a dull, bland product. From a script that manages to be overwritten and yet underdeveloped, from acting that never quite finds the tone, to a slow, meandering pace that muddles both tension and audience attention, it truly fails on all cylinders.
When the highlight of a film is the comic charms of Channing Tatum, you know Ron Howard was truly out of his league with this one.
