This is not a movie about hiding Jews in Amsterdam in the early forties- its about Fifties American Optimism where "everyone is basically good at heart" Interminably slow, Anne seems to have been modeled on Anne of Green Gables rather than a Dutch girl with wealthy parents.
Avoid it if you can.
