Review of The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015) by Kim B — 15 Jul 2017
Good coming of age movie that isnt afraid to go to dark places or be extremely honest and complicated. Fairly fucked film up with a disgusting and pathetic male playing the lead. I loved the soundtrack and comic art.
The whole 70s setting was well done. I think this is relatable to most teenage girls the themes of wanting to be loved, being naive and insecure, and falling for the wrong type of people. I think Minnie was well cast and I loved the message at the end.
