Review of The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015) by Narrative M — 27 Oct 2018
Watch this if: you're into stories that are complex, yet sweet, yet so refreshingly portrayed.
The Diary of a Teenage Girl won all of the indie awards including Best Feature at Berlin Int'l Film Festival. It tells the story of a teen girl living in 1970s San Francisco who has an affair with her mother's boyfriend. I know what you're asking yourself, 'is this gonna be dark and angsty?' Nope. It's completely honest, refreshing and funny. It's a discovery of sex and intimacy. And it's so, so touching.
