Review of The Devil's Double (2011) by Steve P — 06 Dec 2011
Iraqi army lieutenant Latif Yahia is forced to Saddam Hussein's palace to become Saddam's son, Uday Hussein, body double. At first he refuses but is locked up and beaten until he agrees. Overall not a bad film, although I did expect Uday Hussein psychopathic character to be more menacing and calculated but he never came across as such.
Yes there was the violence and brutality but that never made up for it. Secondly, the movie lacked atmosphere.
