Review of The Devil's Double (2011) by Raisul I — 01 Apr 2013
A great idea spoiled in shame due to the directors complete lack of knowledge regarding Iraqi culture. for example, Iraqi's use Abbu to refer father, not Baba which is the trend in Indian subcontinent not middle east.
A Muslim wedding with a public kissing of the couple & the bride wearing white robe is simply ludicrous. Yet Dominic Cooper shines to create separation of the two roles, yet the character is a caricature turned too cartoon alike to give him too much depth.
A potential movie wasted in trying too much to provide redundant expectable romance yet being too lazy to make the tale realistic enough to believe it full.
