Review of The Devil's Double (2011) by Lisa R — 09 Nov 2011
I saw the golden poster and immediately went to youtube to see the trailer... it had my interest at the very start.
This is a movie that shows the life of Saddam Hussein's son Uday and the deplorable acts committed against his peers. It also show that some people when they have power it just serves to ruin them .. hence drug use and excessive alcohol. This movie didnt explore much of the war but it highlighted a story told from the eyes of his double.
It was really hard to tell in the double scenes I had to keep lookin closely to make sure that is was the same person. This is a really good film and I tend to like the awkwardness of foreign films... it makes me feel like a real story is being told and not just for entertainment purposes wit all its technology and alterations and weak story lines just to promote a film.
I definitely recommend it would keep you all the way to the end.
