As one character of this film said about a painting: it's wonderfully disturbing; so this applies to the film itself. It really is disturbing and at the same time it's diabolically attractive. All these paintings and the feeling of the devil's omnipresence create a perfect mood.

I infer that the picture is about the dark impulses inseparable from the human nature that are following each of us, there's a devil in all of us. The point is how one is able to deal with his own demons.
