Review of The Devil's Candy (2016) by William James S — 07 Oct 2017
I found this film through a YouTube video that highlighted hidden gems on Netflix, and it was a great recommendation. Terrific storytelling that starts about a bit slow, but once it gets going it really packs a punch.
It's very well acted, especially Pruitt Taylor Vince as a deranged child killer, and his scenes are particularly freaky. It's well directed and the director really knows how to manipulate the horror out of script.
Overall, it's pretty good.
