This is a surprisingly skilled and great looking indie horror film that far exceeds the confines of both independent and horror cinema. The cinematography, the sound design, Embry's character's supremely dark and unique artwork, this oddly authentic family going through hell.

..literally. And the horror is so real and empathetic, it's all the scarier for it.
