Review of The Devil's Brigade (1968) by Mike P — 06 Jun 2007
A war film that plays like a comedy for the fist 3/4 of the film. William Holden leads this WW2 film about a outfit of American and Canadian GI's training to take out the Germans.
THe first half is a little silly to take seriously. The Americans and Canadians are in constant rivalry. Their goofy bickering ends when the men join together in a bar brawl. Then its mission time. And the mission against the Germans is a good WW2 set peice.(the films saving grace).
Not as good as most WW2 films...but fun.
