Review of The Devil's Brigade (1968) by Thomas B — 24 Aug 2013
Although David L. Wolper bought the rights to this book yeas before "The Dirty Dozen" came out, this film, released after "The Dirty Dozen," still come off as a pale imitation. William Holden is good in the Lee Marvin-like role, whipping the oddball brigade into a fighting special forces unit, but it's all pretty dull and very much missing Robert Aldrich's flair for action and violence.
