Review of The Devil's Arithmetic (1999) by Geo C — 14 Apr 2008

I guess I'm a bit biased towards this movie because I am a big fan of both Brittany Murphy and Kirsten Dunst, but I really did enjoy(?) this movie. It's been years since I've seen it, but when I saw the title on a dvd stand a few days ago, I instantly remembered how it was and that it was an okay movie.

There are many other movies about the Holocaust that are I guess, more 'professionally' or 'accurately' done, or just had a bigger budget and wasn't a Hallmark movie, but I could totally see this being shown to elementary/middle schoolers during their Holocaust unit (which was exactly the age I was when I saw it).
